Office of the Chancellor
Chancellor's Memorandum
No. A-250
Purdue University Calumet is in need of a process for full and fair consideration of the allocation of office space across the university. Over time, changes in staffing levels in all campus operational areas require adjustments in office space assignments to insure that resources are aligned with institutional priorities. Office space is in high demand, and it is important that space needs are addressed in the context of campus strategic priorities.
Accordingly, I am establishing the Office Space Advisory Committee to review requests for office space and make recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team. Requests for office space should be addressed to the appropriate Vice Chancellor for referral to the committee. The committee may also, at the request of the Senior Leadership Team, review the overall allocation of office space across campus.
The Office Space Advisory Committee will consist of one assistant vice chancellor from each of the Purdue Calumet operating units: Academic Affairs, Administrative Services, Advancement, and Student Services. Committee members will be appointed by the respective vice chancellor. The Assistant Vice Chancellor from Administrative Services will chair the committee.
Initial committee members will be:
Michael Kull, Administrative Services (Chair)
Ron Kovach, Academic Affairs
Wes Lukoshus, Advancement
Roy Hamilton, Student Services
I am hopeful that this process will permit us to deal effectively with a valuable resource in a constrained environment.
Howard Cohen
Chancellor
