ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE
Charter
The purpose of this document is to establish the Purdue University
Calumet Enrollment Management Assessment Committee. The committee will coordinate recruiting
outreach, retention planning and assessment of the enrollment management plan
for the University. Specific activities
to be conducted in the context of this basic committee charge include the
following:
The Enrollment Management Assessment Committee will develop specific
targets each year (and within each year, each semester) for applications,
admitted students and enrolled students.
These targets should be set at the program, department, college, and
university levels.
The Enrollment Management Assessment Committee will oversee the
implementation, assessment and further development of recruitment and retention
strategies for the campus. These
strategies will identify target markets and prioritize marketing
activities. With regard to retention,
the Enrollment Management Assessment Committee will work within the context of
the campus strategic plan and strategic planning process.
The Committee will develop a process for the regular reporting of
enrollment plan outcomes, recruitment, admissions and enrollment progress. The report will track our progress toward
established targets in relation to previous years and will record enrollment in
relation to demographic characteristics of applicants.
The Enrollment Management Assessment Committee is encouraged to call upon
the entire campus to help with recruitment and retention. Student access and “plan for success” are
major goals of the Purdue Calumet Strategic Plan, and the Enrollment Management
Assessment Committee will play a central role in helping to accomplish those goals.
