RE: Amendment to Bylaw 4.03

The Agenda Committee of the Council of Faculty Delegates recommends the following amendment to the Bylaws of The Council of Faculty Delegates:

Article 4.03 (Addition to final sentence)

“unless the reporting committee is temporary”.

Section 4.03 (as amended) would then read:

Chairpersons of the Council Committees. Each committee shall select a chairperson prior to the last regular Council meeting who shall hold that office for a one-year term starting on July 1. A chairperson may succeed himself. No student member may be elected chairperson. The Secretary of the Council, the Chairperson of the Agenda Committee, and the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee shall be informed of the selection of the committee chairpersons for the new term. No chairperson of a standing Council committee shall also be chairperson of a Council committee which report to, or is under the purview of, his standing Council committee, unless the reporting committee is temporary.
