The Faculty Affairs Committee recommends Senate approval for the following resolution:

 

Any faculty member (including tenure track professors, clinical professors, continuing lecturers, and full or part-time adjunct faculty members) teaching or co-teaching a course 85% or more of which is delivered by distance learning technologies is recommended to:

 

A)    Have a certificate from the Quality Distance Learning Professional Development Program at Purdue University Calumet.  The certificate may be awarded after a faculty member completes the PUC program or successfully completes a performance assessment of his/her course development and teaching, or

 

B)     Have a certificate from a distance-learning faculty development program on an approved list of such programs maintained by the Office of Instructional Technology at Purdue University Calumet. The Academic Computing Council will approve the list on a yearly basis.
