RATIONALE:
Experiential Learning (also called experiential education or service learning) can engage students outside the classroom setting through active participation in Cooperative Education, student teaching, practicums, study abroad, internships, undergraduate research, community service or senior design projects. The CEP recognizes setting Educational Policy as part of its work and would like to have this Ad Hoc committee examine the current level of activity in this area and make recommendations to it for future opportunities for all Purdue Calumet Students.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Once established by the Senate, the Ad Hoc Committee shall begin its work in the Summer of 2006. It shall explore the issues, report its findings, and make recommendations to the CEP during the 2006/2007 Academic year.
