This course IS

IS NOT IS NOTS

Document Subject: Deletion of Option in Process Control & Instrumentation in ECET.

Justification:

The deletion of this option will facilitate the accreditation process for the Electrical Engineering Technology AS and BS programs. With this option in place, it will not be possible to satisfy the program criteria at the AS level, since there is no room for option courses at that level. The implementation of this document is effective immediately upon approval.

Current:

This option was previously approved under document number TECH04-32.

Proposed:

None.

Impact on Students:

None. In the existing bingo sheet, the word “Option” will be replaced by “Concentration” and the existing option courses will be listed as concentration courses without having any effect on student choice for one specialty or another. Therefore students still have the freedom to fill in elective spots in a general bingo sheet with courses of their choice.

Impact on Other Academic Departments:

None.
