Document Subject : New Course MET 355 - Automation I

Justification : The department would like to phase out the MFET course modifier so students would have all the specialty courses available in one location for selection. Currently students take MFET 355 - Automation I which will be deleted. The faculty feel the prerequisites are needed but were not a part of MFET 355.

An introduction to the design and applications of programmable controller systems. Topics include programming techniques, input/output devices, personal computer interface, system design, safety and applications for automation.
