Justification:

This course was designed to become the Capstone course for the Associate Degree in Nursing.

The reconfiguration of this course will help students synthesize previously learned concepts

into the clinical arena. It also allows for better evaluation of outcome criteria. It is an

expansion of Practicum III

Description:
Practicum III is the third clinical course in a series of three practica. Clinical lab experiences for the application of nursing process in the direct care of individuals are provided in a structured setting. Therapeutic interventions related to physiological integrity concepts are practiced

Description:

This capstone course incorporates the application of the nursing process and critical thinking skills

in direct patient care. Emphasis is on prioritization, delegation, and collaboration as students

synthesize increasingly difficult concepts in a structured setting.

prepared for clinical practice.
