Justification: There is a need to make sure that students have completed the early literacy foundation
course (EDCI 321), before taking the middle childhood literacy course
Current:
EDCI 304 Literacy for Middle Childhood
Explores aspects of child development and its relevance to literacy, including early and middle childhood developmental influences. This course examines methods and materials appropriate for grades 3-6. Topics include the instruction and assessment of students.
Prerequisite: EDCI 321 or EDPS 260
Pattern: Class 2, Lab 3, Cr.3
