one-time non-recurring payment that will not be a permanent base-salary

In accordance with the President’s
policy, at the Purdue Calumet campus each Vice Chancellor’s area may allocate
up to one percent of its budgeted salary base for this form of
compensation. Awards may be made to no
more than 25 percent of the faculty and staff in each eligible employment
category (tenured and tenure-track faculty; clinical/professional faculty;
regular clerical, service, administrative, and professional staff; and
continuing lecturers who have been employed at the University for at least one
year).
On our campus, special merit pay
will be awarded based on individual’s contributions to our strategic
goals. I have asked each Vice Chancellor
to determine the funds available in their area,
establish a process for making recommendations and forward those
recommendations to me by
