RE: Move-in Date – Student Housing

I am excited to announce that August 26, 2005, will be the official move-in date to the new residence hall. Students will be moving in between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The campus community is invited to join the Senior Leadership Team in welcoming students and their families as they come to us as our first official campus residents. This is an opportunity to be a part of an historic occasion in the life of Purdue University Calumet, as we transition from commuter to residential campus. I hope you will be able to join us on this very special occasion !

We are recruiting volunteers to provide support, assistance, and (occasionally) an extra hand in unloading a car. In addition, volunteers will serve as greeters and guides to help orient new students and their families to the campus.

Volunteers will receive a special “commemorative” t-shirt to wear on move in day. If you are able to help, contact Roberta Cory or Kim Fields in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Services, provide your t-shirt size and the best time to schedule you to help. We will provide you with a special housing information sheet to assist you in responding to questions regarding housing. The contact number is 989-2367.
