RE: Acting Vice Chancellor for Advancement

During the campus absence of Vice Chancellor for Advancement Dolores Steuer-Wagner, who is on medical leave for an indefinite period of time, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement Fred DeHaan has agreed to assume responsibilities as Acting Vice Chancellor for Advancement.

Since joining our Advancement staff last July, Fred has overseen major gift development, as well as various responsibilities relating to our $10.8 million “Plan for Success” comprehensive campus campaign. He offers more than 14 years of financial development experience within public and private educational institutions. Prior to coming to Purdue University Calumet, he served as Executive Director of Foundations at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa.

Fred is a seasoned fundraiser and development professional. He brings skills, experience and leadership that are critical in continuing the fine work Dolores has initiated during this important time of advancing university strategic goals and initiatives.
