RE:                   Appointment of Vice Chancellor for Advancement

I am pleased to announce the appointment of  Dolores Steuer-Wagner as Vice Chancellor for Advancement.  Ms. Steuer-Wagner has accepted a three-year appointment to lead Purdue University Calumet into its upcoming comprehensive campaign.  The comprehensive campaign is our effort to raise private funds to support the campus strategic plan.  Ms. Steuer-Wagner will oversee Purdue Calumet’s plans to seek support for the South County Learning Center, the Chancellor’ s Scholars Endowment, the Community Service Endowment, a new Center for Analysis, student housing and various student laboratory spaces.  She will work closely with deans and academic departments to meet their development goals.

The Vice Chancellor for Advancement is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and has direct responsibility for development, university relations and alumni relations.  Ms. Steuer-Wagner has worked for the past year as Interim Vice Chancellor for Advancement.  She has led the development of our major gifts and corporate giving programs with designed our comprehensive campaign strategy.  I am looking forward to working with her over the next three years to implement our campaign and help make our strategic plan a reality.
