Chancellor's Memorandum
No. A-237
August 21, 2000
Establishment of the Imaging Study Team
There have been several requests, coming from a variety of interests, that Purdue University Calumet invest in equipment and personnel to facilitate records imaging. In the interest of evaluating this technology and the potential it promises for the efficient operation of this institution, this memorandum establishes an Imaging Study Team which will report to the Chancellor. The charge to the Imaging Study Team is:
To brief the campus community on imaging technologies and their applications
To conduct a needs assessment survey of prospective users, including but not limited to unit department heads, and secretaries.
To analyze the survey results and to make recommendations on imaging technologies and to assess the need for an imaging central service.
The Imaging Task Force Team is to complete its charge and report its findings to the Chancellor by December 29, 2000. Members of the committee will be appointed by the Chancellor in consultation with the Vice Chancellors and the Executive Dean. Membership will consist of two persons from CTIS (one SIS person and one Operations person), one person from the Library, one person of the records management team, a person from Purchasing, one person from the Enrollment Services Center, one department head, and one department secretary. The Chancellor shall choose a chair from among those nominated.
