RESULTS:  FULL-TIME FACULTY X PART-TIME FACULTY

THE FOLLOWING SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES WERE IDENTIFIED:

Q. 3.  Full-time faculty (65%) believe that too many off-campus courses are taught by  part-time faculty.

The following working conditions/instructional support services were identified as "mandatory" by full-time faculty:

  Q.9.  Office space for faculty/staff (45%)

  Q.10. Parking (89%)

  Q.11. On-site duplicating facilities (61%)

  Q.12. Access to telephones (81%)

  Q.13. Access to e-mail (25%)

  Q.15. Reimbursement for travel between PUC and off-campus site (55%)

  Q.16. If labs are provided, either computer or other, technical assistants also provided (51%)

Q.23.  Full-time faculty (84%) would be willing to teach an off-campus course as part of their semester assignment DURING THE DAY if the course location, instructional services, and working conditions were acceptable.

Q.24.  Part-time faculty (94%) would be willing to teach an off-campus course as part of their semester assignment DURING THE EVENING if the course location, instructional services, and working conditions were acceptable.

RESULTS:  FEMALE (40% of respondents) X MALE (60% of respondents)

THE FOLLOWING SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES WERE IDENTIFIED:

Q.8.  SECURITY was identified as "mandatory" by a greater number of female faculty members (81%) than by male faculty members (49%).

Q.21. Male faculty members (36%) taught PUC courses at an off-campus site more than did female faculty members (15%).

Q.22. Male faculty members (44%) taught at an off-campus site for other than PUC more than did female faculty members (24%).

RESULTS:

Q.28. The majority of respondents (89%) were in favor of PUC offering courses at off-campus sites.
